Dual Credit Course Offerings and Requirements 2010-2011

Major Requirement Changes!

ALL STUDENTS, regardless of previous status in Dual Credit, must take and pass the Accuplacer Test in order to take Dual Credit classes.

The Accuplacer Test costs $15, see your counselor to take the test.

Mrs. Moore is collecting dual credit registration forms and will mail them to SPC...PLEASE do NOT go out to SPC or mail them . You may have to go out to the Levelland campus to register if you procrastinate. Students NEED to see Mrs. Moore immediately;she is on duty from 8-4 as of August 4, 2010.


Students who are NEW to dual credit must also complete a

1. SPC application and
2. Dual Credit/Early Admissions Application
3. An official transcript

ALL dual credit students will need to submit a dual credit/early admissions application signed by Mrs. Moore. 

Sophomores in the courses that are considered dual credit may get special permission to enroll in dual credit.  Sophomores must have high GPA and will need to take the Accuplacer.

• Economics AP—Econ. 2301—Prin. Of  Macroeconomics
• English IV AP (or IB) or Academic—Eng. 1301/1302--Composition
• **European History AP (or IB)—Hist. 2322—World Civil II
• French III PAP–Fren. 1305/2311
• **French IV AP (or IB)—Fren. 2312
• German III PAP—Germ 1305/2311
• **German IV AP (or IB)—Germ 2312
• US History AP or History of the Americas (IB)—Hist. 1301/1302
• **Physics Pre AP (Dr. Bottrell) (or IB)--Phys.1401—General Physics I
• **Physics AP B (or IB)—Phys. 1402—General Physics II
• Physics AP C-- Phys. 2425/2426—Principles of Physics
• **Academic Pre-Calculus (or IB)—Math 2412
• **College Algebra—Math 1314

**These courses are called 9 month courses and you will sign up for them 2^nd semester.  Make sure that you sign up for the correct teacher/course. Forms may be obtained from www.southplainscollege.edu or from Mrs. Moore’s office.

   STUDENTS WITH 30 HOURS OF DUAL CREDIT MAY RECEIVE A $1000 SCHOLARSHIP---SEE YOUR COUNSELOR FOR DETAILS.

Instructional support: $36.00+$33.00 per hour (1 hour = $69.00, 2 hours = $102.00)
